Inflatafun coming to Longdon

When local Mum, Sarah Stevenson’s husband died in 2006, she found looking after three small children a struggle. Her answer is Inflatafun, regular play sessions for local under 5s, using a range of fun inflatables.

“I decided to put an end to that struggle and have founded a new company which will provide entertainment for children in and around Lichfield.

“Like every mum I had to focus on keeping my youngsters occupied, but I saw that the opportunities for quality play sessions in the villages around Lichfield were severely restricted.

“My frustrations spilled over after my sister-in-law began experiencing similar issues, with one childcare provider offering toddlers nothing more than electronic toys without batteries in them.

Inflatafun sessions will be run weekly (Term Time only) for under 5s, at Fradley, Alrewas, Barton under Needwood, Kings Bromley, Yoxall, Abbots Bromley, Chase Terrace, Longdon, Whittington & Lichfield City Centre. Further details here .

“The business will see indoor inflatable play equipment in the form of an obstacle course, brought into village / community halls for children under 5 to play with.  It will be the perfect opportunity for children to let off steam.

“I had previously only ever worked in the insurance industry so my new business is a whole new direction in my life.

Inflatfun will be at Longdon Village Hall on May 12th, 19th and 26th from 1.30 – 3.30 . Entry to the inflatable fun den will cost £4 per child and includes a free drink for both the child and adult. Snacks will also be on sale. Sarah can be contacted on 07817 557147 or via email at inflatafun@hotmail.co.uk .

Staffordshire Police Citizens’ Panel Appeal

Staffordshire Police are appealing for Longdon residents to join their Citizen’s Panel, providing a voice to help the force to make decisions. Natalie Wilford, Staffordshire Police Citizen’s Panel Officer said

Our Citizens’ Panel provides a genuinely representative ‘voice’ for the diverse communities of Staffordshire in key decisions of Staffordshire Police and the development and review of its services. The Panel is currently made up of 3,000 people from across Staffordshire who regularly share their views and ideas on a wide range of policing issues.

We would like to increase our panel membership so that we can give even more people living in Staffordshire a strong and credible voice in the decisions we make. Increasing our panel membership will also provide us with the opportunity to ask questions that are much more local to where people live.

We can only be successful if we understand and deal with what matters to the public.  However, we recognise that opportunities for you to let us know your views must be as convenient to you as possible.

By joining our Citizens’ Panel you can let us know your views from the comfort of your own home.  You will simply be required to complete three short surveys a year to inform key decisions of Staffordshire Police.  You can complete these surveys in a method of your choice including on-line, via Facebook or via traditional post.

We will keep you updated with Panel newsletters and keep you informed about workshops and events that you can get involved in if you wish to do so.

To join please visit our website at www.staffordshire.police.uk/citizen and complete the online recruitment form.

For further information, please contact Natalie Wilford on 01785 23 2284 or email citizen.panel@staffordshire .pnn.police.uk
